  • Abstract
    The standard PID controller is applied to the bitrate control system. The system is based on the data compressing chip-ADV611 using wavelet transform. However, the standard PID controller will easily cause the phenomenon of differential mutation and integral saturation that have been pointed out. In order to solve those problems, authors have proposed a new improved algorithm basing on research of the standard PID control algorithm. The new algorithm has the following characteristics: quicker response, stronger stability, better accuracy. The new system has been simulated and analyzed with MATLAB. The result shows that the algorithm of this paper proposed can effectively resolve the problems assigned above. With a rapid changing video image the reconstructed image has not appeared screen jitter. The developed algorithm has been applied to the control system of ADV611 and gave a very nice performance.
