Abstract :
On the horizon is a host of mobile multimedia devices that will be integrated into today´s home video experience. This will cause a slew of new applications that will blur the boundaries between voice, video and data. This paper discusses a vision of Converged Services where users can access any content, from any device, whenever and wherever they want. Converged networks within the home will become a key element in tearing down the silos between the video, voice & data worlds. This will generate many new services (and new revenue streams) which will make the concept of Triple Play and Quad Play no longer relevant. We need to start thinking in terms of the Next Play and the ability to quickly add many new services.
