Since the reform, the problem of urban-rural gap has been a conspicuous contradiction to hinder the development of society and economy in China. Urban-rural gap of Xinjiang is not only very obvious but also represents the expansion trend. This paper reveals the situation of urban-rural gap of Xinjiang from income gap, consumption distinction, social welfare disparity between urban and rural residents, and studies the reasons from system factor, urban-rural allocation system, fiscal policy. Some suggestions are put forward to narrow the gaps.
