Abstract
Most WSNs are organized in hierarchical topology, in which broadcast communication is the most efficient way to send messages. Since broadcast communication using public channel, it is important to protect the broadcast message using cryptography. We proposed a practical broadcast encryption scheme stIBBE by combining HIBE and secret sharing scheme. The proposed scheme is proved IND-sID-CPA secure in random oracle model. Compared with related broadcast encryption schemes, stIBBE has advantage in both computation and communication cost.
