Abstract
In order to provide the VoD Service over the Internet, a large amount of system and network resources are needed . Various overlay multicast schemes are suitable solutions but they have some drawbacks to support VoD Service. In this paper we present a system based overlay multicast, which could saves the network bandwidth efficiently and decreases the stress of VoD server. Our main ideas are the buffer structure and three type of client join algorithm. Simulation results show that our model decreases the server stress efficiently.
