Abstract :
To reduce the discretization effort for numerical methods - here the method of moments (MoM) - some algorithms and substitution methods are developed to shorten the calculation time by reducing the dimension of the system matrices that have to be solved. For a fast calculation of multilayer printed circuit boards (mPCB) the transmission line theory (TLT), combined-node method of moments (CN-MoM) and analytical results are employed and an algorithm is presented that considers the capacitance and inductance between the wires and the via-holes as well as buried layers which often appear in the printed circuit board industry. Furthermore the capacitive coupling of the power-bus with the ground plane and its decoupling capacitances will be taken into account
