Abstract :
In view of this situation that image fusion algorithm of separable wavelet is unable to retain the fusion image edge information effectively, based on the mutual complement of CT/MRI image contents, a fusion algorithm of integration and highlight for the medical image details is proposed. Under the non-separable wavelet decomposed frame, this algorithm uses the fusion rule of the information entropy maximum for the low-frequency component, and uses the fusion rule of the regional brightness and details priority weighted for the high-frequency component. Finally, through an inverse transform of non-separable wavelet reconstructs fusion image. Experimental results show this algorithm not only reserves the source image information, but also enhances the fusion image details and brightness information.
