Abstract :
To automatically move a mobile user´s desktop environment following his/her movement trajectory, we design the RFID-based desktop migration system. This system automatically detects a user´s movement with a RFID reader, and then captures or restores application states by dynamically binding to the interface exported by application-specific libraries. We present the functional architecture of the designed system, and define the protocols for advertising an application-specific library and delivering migration data. We describe how its state is changed by the events generated by a RFID reader or its internal timer, and design an algorithm for controlling the access of multi-user.
