    The performance parameters of vertical-axis tidal turbine were obtained by solving single stream-tube model, and discussed the blade number, blade chord, rotor radius and blade density on the impact of vertical-axis tidal turbine performance. 2D model of the impeller was established based on the Optimization, and meshed, and then Moving Reference Frame Model and Moving Mesh Model were respectively used on the steady and the unsteady numerical simulation. The velocity field and pressure field were analyzed, and studied characteristics of the time-varying flow. It has a certain extent value of theoretical director to study Vertical-Axis Tidal Turbine.
