Abstract :
We investigate the accuracy of the received signal strength indicator of Crossbow MICA2 nodes in terms of precision, repeatability of the measurements, influence of the device factory parameter production and influence of the battery level. These results can be subsequently used to identify the limits, in terms of spatial accuracy, introduced by the envisaged sensor errors when used to solve the localization problem.
