Abstract
Classical IP networks can not meet the requirements of multimedia applications that need certain QoS. When bandwidth resources are limited, an effective guaranteed service strategy is needed to ensure the flows that already exist in the networks holding enough bandwidth. In this work, we scribe a new routing protocol: address difference label routing (ADLR) protocol, which is designed specifically for flow guaranteed service. In ADLR, each flow gets a label according to the difference between its source node and destination node. With ADLR, the re-routing scheme is very simple. Further more, ADLR protocol can achieve end-to-end guaranteed service that is more flexible and requires less spare resources.
