Abstract :
Home NodeB (aka femtocells) is developed to improve indoor coverage and network capacity. Since there maybe large quantities of these devices, HeNB capable of self-configuration is promising for operators to save operational expenditures (OPEX) through substantially reducing the necessary human intervention. And at the same time, self-configuration ability of HeNB is benefit for improving quality of user experience. A novel HeNB self-configuration model is proposed in this paper, which is composed of five key modules to regulate self-configuration process. Furthermore, procedures depicting HeNB neighbor list optimization and interference avoidance are detailed as well to show the application of HeNB self-configuration model.
