Abstract
Combined Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA) with wireless multi-hop networks, a QoS guaranteed multi-hop channel allocation algorithm is proposed. The algorithm could enhance the spectral efficiency of primary users and guarantee the QoS requirements of cognitive users through a specific optimal channel allocation criterion. The multi-hop relay nodes are selected by the upper and lower power thresholds of transmitted nodes, and cognitive users´ QoS is measured in terms of channel allocation intervals as well as channel utilization periods in the proposed algorithm. Simulation results indicate that, with the implementation of transmission scheme applied with the proposed QoS guaranteed channel allocation algorithm, the probability of successful transmission for cognitive user could be enhanced significantly in multi-hop network. Meanwhile, the probability of being served within the waiting time for cognitive user is also heightened, as well as the spectrum handoff probability is reduced, which improves the overall quality of service effectively in cognitive radio network.
