Abstract :
Electromagnetic devices present iron losses which increase with the voltages and induction waveforms harmonics. In this work, three simplified hysteresis losses models are compared with experimental data furnishing useful information about the effectiveness and limitations of each methodology and this is the main contribution of the work. Calculated results for a switched reluctance motor (SRM) are presented to show the improvement in hysteresis losses evaluation obtained with the proposed methodology.
