Abstract :
This paper describes an information quality risk in decision support for a finance company as part of a larger project in auto finance loaning. A methodology to estimate the risks of data accuracy, completeness and consistency on the data aggregate functions count, sum and average is presented. This methodology ensures decisions based on fit-for-purpose information for projects that harvest warehouse data for decision support to the management. By developing a risk assessment program for information quality focused on business initiatives and treating information as a true enterprise asset, high-quality information for credits can be assured.
