Coordinated traffic management through data exchange

This paper will detail the evolution of the Datex II data exchange methodology and how its implementation will support the European Commission´s objectives of coordinated traffic management measures and seamless, pan-European Traffic Information services. It will focus on how the UK Highways Agency is implementing Datex II in order to support a more integrated traffic management approach with Local Traffic Authorities that enables both parties to meet the challenges of the Traffic Management Act 2004.
