Abstract :
This paper proposes a strategy to control the speed of diesel engine. More precisely, we show how to control the speed of the diesel engine using the fuel rate as the control law. We first present a mathematical model which describes the behaviour of the engine, then we propose a new nonlinear method to design a controller for a class of nonlinear systems. Afterwards, the proposed method is used to design a stabilizing feedback law around a speed engine desired value.
