Abstract
Image-array-based automatic optical inspection system captures multiple images of the inspected printed circuit board through synchronous exposure. Therefore a correct mosaic of images is very import to subsequent solder paste inspection. However, Design error of the mechanism always leads to geometric errors in the image such as translation, rotation and scaling distortion. These errors make severe displacements in the image. To solve such problems, a concise and rapid error correction algorithm is proposed base on multiple point interpolation. Experiments show that the algorithm can assure rapid and correct mosaic of images of the whole printed circuit board.
