Abstract
Stresses and deformation are important parameters in the vacuum glazing design. Since the symmetry of the vacuum glazing, the unit cell finite element model was established. Stresses and strain of the glazing and the supports was calculated. Maximum contact stress and tensile stress of flat glass occur at the contact areas. Maximum vertical deformation of the unit occurs at the center. The stress of support is not evenly distributed, but increases with the radius of support.
