Abstract
Software defined radio is both the popular research direction of the modern communication and the key technology of the third generation mobile communication. In this paper, the principle and the structure of software defined radio, which are more essential such as the open bus architecture, smart antenna, RF module, high-speed switcher module, high-speed DSP module, and multi-package were described. To improve the operation performance and perfect the existing software defined radio system further, the high-speed A/D switcher technology and DSP bottleneck problem were discussed in detail. Afterwards, the hardware models and the relevant solutions were clearly given. Through system simulation, the results show that the proposed software defined radio system has higher performance by the above-mentioned novel methods.
