Abstract :
This paper mainly deals with the modelling of flexible space structures (FSS) through identification in H∞ space with a case study. The results can be summerised as follows: (1) the H ∞ identification of FSS is a combination of FSS mode truncation and FSS parameter estimation, (2) the convergence of the H ∞ identification algorithm depends on the uniformly exponential stability of the impulse response of the system, and (3) the H∞ identification can give not only the low dimensional models but also the bound of error between the system and the model
