  • Abstract
The power control is a crucial technology in wireless communication. IEEE 802.16 protocol suggests that WiMAX system should adopt power control technology on the uplink channel, and requires its performance, which will ensure the quality of communications and suppress the co-channel interference. However, the exact algorithm is vendor-specific. In this paper, the game theory was applied to WiMAX uplink power control. All co-channel users were game participants, and their uplink power was used as a strategy to achieve Nash equilibrium. The simulation results show that this algorithm can control uplink power and ensure communications quality, at the same time, the pricing factor lambda will affect the convergence speed and convergence power of algorithm.
