Abstract
Recent researches on cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS), which can achieve better performance than non-cooperative spectrum sensing, become more and more promising in cognitive radio networks. In CSS, multiple channels spectrum sensing is difficult to tackle compared to the conventional channel by channel detection. This paper aims to show a new multi-channel cooperative spectrum sensing scheme in cognitive radio (CR) network, which is based on information theoretic criterion. Firstly, the conventional cooperative energy detection is introduced for comparison. Then, the proposed scheme can exactly estimate the number and the position of the occupied channels. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the conventional energy detection in terms of either the detection probability or the false alarm probability.
