Abstract :
With the power system operation constantly approaches limit, dynamic voltage stability problem has become the focus of attention. While reasonable reactive power planning plays an important role in keeping system´s dynamic stability. However, the key of dynamic reactive power planning (DRPP) is make an optimal scheme of reactive power sources considering location, size and type from space-time dimension. In this paper, it starts with the conception of DRPP, then reviews various influence factors of DRPP, also many objectives which may considered cost functions such as variable VAR cost, fixed VAR cost and real power losses are presented. The key issues of DRPP are analyzed, it contained six major problems that must be solved in DRPP. Finally the nodal dynamic reactive power margin model is proposed.
