Abstract :
The recycling of steel slag will inevitably become an important measure for the environment protection. Concrete early age shrinkage may cause cracking to reduce the structural performance and accelerate deterioration to shorten the service life. Fine steel slag powder greatly impacts on drying shrinkage of concrete at early age. Drying shrinkage of cement mortar with different steel slag kinds and different dosage of admixtures are studied. Experiments results show the effect of steel slag powder on drying shrinkage of cement mortar. Drying shrinkage of cement mortar will increase while mineral admixtures are mixed with steel slag powder and blast-furnace slag powder, the drying shrinkage must be paid more attention in engineering.
