Abstract
Recently, large forest fire has resulted in a severe environmental catastrophe as well as considerable casualties and property damage. Therefore, the world has made a lot of efforts to come up with an effective forest fire-prevention and extinguishing method by monitoring the development of forest fire on a realtime basis and using the forest fire forecast system and satellite. In the past, large forest fire mostly occurred in countries where primeval forests prevail such as Southeast Asia, South America, China, Mongolia and Russia. Since the late 2000s, however, large forest fire started to occur in North America and Europe (ex: the U.S., Portugal, Spain, etc.) in which severe drought and hot weather lasted for a long time. It has caused a severe environmental catastrophe as well as considerable casualties and property damage. To minimize these forest damages, this paper has established a monitoring system which can implement visualization services by collecting GPS and sensor data based on the Micro System (Quad-Rotor).
