Abstract
The conserved residues, which are comparatively stable in the process of biological evolvement, are significant to the study of the structure and function of protein. Therefore, identifying conserved residues will greatly stimulate the development of bioinformatics. Based on biochemical, geometric and dynamic features of the amino acids, this paper proposes a high-speed algorithm to rapidly identify conserved residues in protein. The results of experiments indicate that compared with other similar algorithm, this algorithm can identify the conserved residues in protease families more rapidly.
