  • Abstract
    Component and plug-in technologies took GIS into a new development stage. Using GIS components and plug-ins, many GIS functions can be rapidly integrated into various GIS application systems, which greatly reduces the complexity of secondary development of GIS. VRmap, a three-dimensional geographic information system software, provides a powerful three-dimensional GIS components and plug-ins, This paper first introduces the VRMap´s components and plug-ins, then, with Visual Basic as a development platform, carry out the design and development of three-dimensional scene display system based on VRMap´s components and plug-ins, and many functions have been achieved, such as three-dimensional scene view, edit, particle creation, three-dimensional analysis, flight control, animation making, et al.
