  • Abstract
The vast majority of people who participate in GroupSystems electronic meetings are very favorably impressed, and will happily say so. However, this positive first impression does not necessarily mean that people have seen the full potential of GroupSystems, which is too often seen as a tool for specialist facilitators. GroupSystems is not yet widely seen as a tool for each and every executive and manager with an issue to discuss, a decision to implement, a team to motivate or an organization to revitalise. This paper postulates that the main reason for this limited view is that although participants easily learn the mechanics of the technique in their first electronic meeting, being a meeting participant does not communicate its full potential. Hence, this paper proposes an education program for users of GroupSystems electronic meetings. The availability of GroupSystems across the Internet will increase the potential of the technique and the need for widespread user education
