Design and Implementation of a Novel User Interface for Embedded System

This paper presents an implementation of self-designed user interface for embedded systems by making use of flash which is now widely used on website. Traditional graphic systems basing on components lack of flexibility and are complicated to be customized, so we propose a new architecture of the user interface with an in-depth description of the inter-module communication methods. Aiming at implementation on embedded system, several optimizations are made to improve the performance. This scheme has achieved good performance on two Set-top boxes with Linux operating system.
