Abstract :
Inter-organizational information systems (IOS) is established between the different organizations of a long-term, stable communication mechanisms and formal channels of communications; focused on the goals of the inter-organizational cooperation; information exchange and sharing co-exists with organizational cooperation issues; is a series of information technology-based application portfolio. The paper has explained the differences between IOS & e-commerce (EC); distinguished between various traditional closed networks to current and open networks, and mentioned that the application models may vary from cooperation levels.
