  • Abstract
    A new concept, design and realisation of integrated uniplanar oscillator-transmitter and mixer with active antennas is presented in this paper. All circuits are realised in Three Coplanar Strips technique (TCS). The whole subsystem is realised with one low cost MESFET (NE72089A). The common oscillator has electronically controlled frequency. The model is realised at transmitting frequency of 9.5 GHz. Transmitter power is 11 dBm and mixer isotropic conversion loss is 1.5 dB. Total oscillator DC to RF efficiency is 22.2 %. The concept and design can be applied to higher microwave as well as to millimeter-wave frequencies.
