Abstract :
A new high-speed photopyroelectric thermal wave detection instrument has been developed. This instrument is composed of (1) arrayed detection multi-probes and (2) small-sized and simple-configuration arrayed multi-circuits. Each parameter of the multi-probe configuration such as diameter of probes and distance between neighboring probes, was optimally designed to suppress the mutual electro-magnetic interference. In order to compensate phase lead or lag of detected phase signal due to this interference, a phase compensation method was proposed. Consequently, we succeeded in confirming the utility of the photopyroelectric thermal wave detector composed of four probes by realizing a tomographic image reconstruction
