Abstract
In order to extend the Mode Matching technique to the analysis of rectangular waveguide complex networks one has to perform a complicated segmentation into simple elements. The interconnection matrix deeply influences the computing performance of the code. The size of the coefficient matrix of the main system can easily reach unaffordable dimensions, and the use of an efficient solving strategy becomes a must. A new approach to the optimal automatic choice of connections is presented, leading to a highly stable and outperforming method of analysis open to the implementation of optimizers based on the Adjoint Network Method.
