Abstract :
To deal with the energy crisis, alternative energy has been widely used to replace fuel sources. Solar power is a safe, clean and renewable energy, among all the solar technologies, photovoltaics is the most promising technology which can convert solar energy into electricity. It is becoming increasingly popular and applied to many areas of life. One of the most important applications is building integrated photovoltaics. This paper described the application of BIPV in solar decathlon competition 2007, summarized performance of the house in the measured energy balance contest and also the author discussed some notable issues in BIPV design.
