Abstract :
Based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technology, a kind of high frequency (HF) communication systems supporting data transmission service is proposed. The presented HF OFDM communication systems occupy 3kHz bandwidth and employ the voice port of traditional radios. We provide the corresponding design scheme, system parameters and key technologies. In order to check up the performance of the proposed systems, we further implement the communication chain simulation of bit error rate (BER) properties with three different modulations of QPSK, 8PSK and 16QAM. The simulation results show that the designed HF OFDM communication system can obtain desirable BER performance even under poor shortwave channel.
