Abstract :
On-line detecting and fault diagnosis plays a more and more important role to high-voltage breakers. In the coil current waveforms of the circuit breakers, we can find a lot of information about the breaker by detecting some critical points. But when the waveform has noises or some critical points are too close, traditional method may cause mistake result. The paper trys to use a Mathematical Morphology method to solve the special problems, the result proves the method is effective. All the study is carried out with real field data, which is captured by operating on-line monitoring system of high voltage circuit breaker.
