Abstract
A DSP based optimized JPEG2000 algorithm for real-time application is presented in this paper. In this algorithm, one technique is brought forward to handle the problem of irrational number of normalization factor in LS (9, 7). Another technique is proposed to reduce the calculation error and improve the calculation efficiency. Further more, three levels of JPEG2000 algorithm transplantation and optimization are listed. The test result shows that the algorithm we proposed has a great improvement in efficiency and achieves a higher PSNR than other algorithms and can meets the critical quality requirement of image in some real-time high end applications.
