Abstract
Based on the ITU-defined framework of information society, this paper will deeply analyze the supporting role of industrial part in information society, then discuss the potential opportunities of telecom industry and try to define its new position in information society combined with its existing capacity, providing theoretic support for transformation of telecom industry.
