Abstract
Digital watermarking is an effective way to protect and identify the authenticity and integrity of digital image. Combining with the characteristics of image authentication watermarking, three methods of extending gray image self-recovery watermarking to color image are proposed. They are a single component embedding, three-component embedding independently and three-component embedding dependently. This paper also investigates and compares the properties of three methods, including the visibility, tamper detection performance, ability against forgery attack and time efficiency. Experimental results show that the three-component embedding dependently has better performance of security and tamper detection.
