            Abstract : 
A technique designated as the equivalent approach is introduced in this paper to determine the reliability indices of interconnected systems consisting of AC/DC links. System reliability studies of an interconnected system containing a DC link involve detailed modeling of the DC transmission line followed by analysis of the overall interconnected system in which the DC link is an integral element. A procedure is presented in this paper which can be used to examine the adequacy of an interconnected system with AC/DC links
