Abstract
This paper proposes a rain mapping method using a computerized tomography (CT) technique. Since satellite transmissions at Ku-band frequency suffer from attenuation due to intervening rain. The propagation data along several paths toward satellites geostationed at different longitudes are analyzed to reconstruct the two-dimensional rain distribution by a CT technique. A brief description is given on the approach and the results of simple numerical tests are described to show the feasibility of the proposed method
