Abstract :
In this paper we discuss the problem of characterization of chaotic dynamics from return time sequences and study how the choice of the Poincare section influences the results of numerical analysis. We show that dynamical properties of a chaotic regime are more stable to displacements of the secant plane than other characteristics.
