The characteristics of large wind farm were analyzed and several feasible dispatching methods were broached when large wind farm integrates into power grid. By simulating and comparing, a new real-time dispatching method was proposed. Wind farm should reserve some of its generation capacity according to the forecast of maximum power to be captured, which makes it have the ability to regulate primary and secondary frequency similar to that of conventional generators. Wind farm can also participate into AGC control, which can reduce fluctuation effectively and improve stability and economy of power systems.
