Abstract :
In this paper, the development of a nonlinear real-time simulation system for the test of speed governing system of hydroelectric generating unit is discussed. In order to achieve higher simulation accuracy as well as software simplicity, two neural networks are used for imitating the nonlinear features of hydro turbine. In addition, by using latest floating-point Digital Signal Controller and hardware TCP/IP stack based communication in the hardware implementation, the real-time capability of nonlinear algorithm and the data transmission are ensured. Satisfactory test results proved the feasibility of the proposed method.
