Abstract
Banding tapes are utilized to hold rotating components in place for the life of the motor. The method of application and components of banding tapes influence the final performance of the band. This paper reports findings on the influence of yarn types and hot versus cold banding on the tensile strength and moisture resistance properties of the completed cured bands.
