Abstract :
When traveling wave analysis based on Marti model are employed for transient analysis, frequency-dependent line parameters are taken into account, so that calculating results would be more accurate. On the basis of original parameters provided by State Grid Corporation, Marti model of the 1000 kV UHVAC power transmission demonstration project are built in this paper. The transient characteristics such as the distributed capacitive current in transient state, high-frequency harmonics, and their impact on relay protection are mainly calculated and analyzed. It is expected that it can be helpful for relay protection design and manufacture in UHV transmission lines.
