Abstract :
The mobile agent (MA) technology is considered a new attracting and challenging paradigm in the area of distributed systems, although it has not yet reached a fully mature stage. In fact, a major problem still limiting the widespread use of mobile agents is the lack of a highly secure and reliable supporting architecture. This paper presents our Java agent infrastructure called SHIPIMAI. It is based on the subdivision of the agent space and the introduction of controlled agent domains. The proposed architecture tries to address the challenging issues in MA concept such as communication and security
