Abstract :
A CMOS up-conversion receiver front end consists of a low-noise variable-gain amplifier with an input-frequency range from 48 to 860MHz and a mixer with an output frequency of 1.1GHz. The IC exhibits a gain range of 55dB, noise figure of 6.2dB at a gain of 19dB, and a maximum IIP3 of 26dBm. The chip consumes 125mW and is fabricated in a 0.18/spl mu/m 5M process.
