  • Abstract
This paper presents Footprint, a foot-based personal context interface for wearable computers. The user´s feet are monitored by a head mounted video camera. Using fast image processing, the user´s feet trigger the display of a graphical overlay on a see-through head mounted display. A proof-of-concept application is demonstrated: a ballroom dancing assistant (overlaying the appropriate dance path when the dancer is looking down) using an XML-based dance notation language. The design, implementation, and results of this work are discussed, as well as the implications on personal context interfaces
